Mari wig progress o-o!

I did my makeup and everything for this picture, but I decided to cover my derp face anyway. xD Good makeup practice, anyway.

I’m using the too-red wig I was mistakenly given, just because I don’t really want to buy another wig, nor do I really want to grow out my hair ^^;. (I like it shorter anymore.) It looks better in some light than others, although when it’s in the wrong light, it’s REALLY red. So I might attempt to add some brown into it by dying it. But I’ll see how ambitious I am by the time I’m done with everything else.

It was my first time adding a center part to a wig, and it’s not too horrible o-o. It’s not beautiful, either. xD I tried to make my own wefts with the extra length of the wig, but I couldn’t get the wig fibers to cooperate with the methods I read tutorials on. So I just took out wefts from the wig and added them back in. Which ended up okay, because it didn’t add any bulk to the wig, since Mari’s hair is pretty thin. I did end up getting some wefts with little short hairs added to them on accident, though. So that’s why you see those on the stop of my head. ^^;

Also, if I ever need a long wig again, I’ll probably go with a brand I know is nice, not ebay. This wig tangles like a mo-fo. :c

It seems like Avril Lavigne is releasing a cover of her boyfriend’s band classic as a single! Of course, I’m talking about “How You Remind Me” by Nickelback, that was released back in the summer of 2001. A snippet has found its way online and let’s say Avril’s vocals sound perfect on the track and do a great work for it. Releasing an already successful song is not really safe, since it’s been done once and it’s been done well. However, Avril manages to do it her own way. Her version seems to be stripped down and her melancholic tone does wonder for it! I’m so freaking excited over this, plus they say she’s releasing this as a single, through the soundtrack of “One Piece Film Z”, an anime/manga film.
